The Validzsee is located about nine kilometers southeast of Krakow am See in the extreme south of the Rostock district, southeast of the Krakower See . The body of water is approximately 1500 meters long and up to 550 meters wide and is located entirely in the municipality of Dobbin-Linstow . The lake has a poorly structured shape with a prominent peninsula in the northeast.
The area around the lake is completely forested and has been placed under protection in the nature reserve of the same name . The lake is also in the Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heide nature reserve .
The Federal Highway 19 runs just under one and a half kilometers east of the lake .
