Güney Dal
Güney Dal (born August 11, 1944 in Çanakkale ) is a Turkish-speaking author who lives and works in Germany.
Life
After studying Romance studies in Turkey, working as a voice actor, bookseller and radio journalist, Dal worked in Berlin from 1972 first as a factory worker, later as an author and journalist for the SFB . Now a freelance German writer, Dal continues to work in his mother tongue and has his first editions translated into German in close collaboration with the literary translator Carl Koß.
His novel Europastraße 5 was filmed in 1996 by Macha Méril , with her herself in the leading role, as Alla turca .
He is the father of the actresses Ceren Dal (* 1973) and Sophie Dal (* 1981).
