Günter Ermisch

Günter Ermisch (born April 14, 1933 in Witzenhausen ) is a German lawyer , former ministerial official and state secretary in the Federal Ministry of Defense (1984 to 1987) and in the Saxon Ministry for Federal and European Affairs (1991 to 1996).

biography

After graduating from high school in 1954, Ermisch studied law at the University of Würzburg with a second state examination and a doctorate in law. iur. on the exercise of a public office within the framework of the liability of the Federal Post Office for motor vehicle accidents .

He entered the civil service in 1963 and held various positions in the Federal Ministry of the Interior , temporarily in the Federal Office for Civil Protection . From 1978 to 1981 he was Vice President of the Federal Criminal Police Office and from 1984 to 1987 as a political official he was State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Defense. In 1990 he came to the new federal state as federal agent for the development of the state of Saxony . From 1991 until his retirement in 1996, he was State Secretary for Federal and European Affairs. Among other things, he set up the Foundation for the Sorbian People . At European level he was a member of the Committee of the Regions .
