Günter Graulich

Günter Graulich (born July 2, 1926 in Stuttgart ) is a German church musician and music publisher.

life and work

After graduating, Graulich worked as a teacher and church music director at the Protestant St. Matthew's Church in Stuttgart . He was the founder and director of the Stuttgart Motet Choir for 50 years . Graulich was of particular importance due to his extensive editing activity of works of church music. One focus was the edition of the Stuttgarter Schütz edition with works by Heinrich Schütz , which strongly meets performance needs. In 1972 he founded the Carus publishing house with his wife Waltraud .
