Günter Groß (born September 21, 1946 ; † December 15, 2012 ) was a German football player .
Career
The striker Günter Groß came to VfL Bochum as a B-youth and moved up in the summer of 1965 to the squad of the professional team, which had just been promoted to the second-class Regionalliga West . A fracture of the tibia forced him to take a year-long injury break in the 1968/69 round . In 1968 Groß reached the final of the DFB Cup with his team . Two years later, Groß became champions of the Regionalliga West with Bochum, but failed in the promotion round to the Bundesliga at Kickers Offenbach . Groß then moved to DJK Gütersloh , for whom he played in the Regionalliga West until 1972. Günter Groß played 110 regional league games and scored 14 goals. Of these, 54 games and eleven goals were played in Bochum and 56 games and three goals in Gütersloh.
