Günter Keute (born December 21, 1955 in Vosswinkel ) is a former German football player .

He played for Eintracht Braunschweig between July 1980 and June 1984 , the first season in the 2nd Bundesliga North and the remaining years in the 1st Bundesliga . His greatest success with the team was the 9th place in the German championship. In 113 games, 106 of them in the league, Keute scored 21 goals. Keute was known as a fair athlete; In his entire career as a professional he only got one yellow card in the league and in the DFB Cup, he was never sent off.

Günter Keute has four children (Tanja †, Timo, Tobias, Torben). His wife is called Renate. He currently lives with her and his three remaining children in Arnsberg-Voßwinkel and works as a painter and varnisher.
