Hans Stiebner

Hans Friedrich Wilhelm Georg Stiebner (born November 19, 1898 in Vetschau / Spreewald , † March 27, 1958 in Baden-Baden ) was a German actor and theater director .

Life

The pharmacist's son attended Max Reinhardt's drama school in Berlin in 1919/20 and made his debut at the Braunschweiger Landestheater as postmaster in Tagore's play Das Postamt in 1920 . In 1925 he moved to the Hamburger Kammerspiele , where he was also employed as a director by Artistic Director Erich Ziegel .

From 1933 Stiebner worked as an actor and director at the Berlin theaters, especially at the State Theater , Schiller Theater and Schlossparktheater . After the end of the war, he mainly worked on comedy, the comedians ' cabaret , the theater on Nollendorfplatz and the stands .

Since 1934 he was a busy supporting actor in German film. The full-figured actor embodied waiters, cooks, law enforcement officers, crooks and especially often innkeepers. Most recently he was also seen in television productions. He worked as a radio play director for Südwestfunk . His first marriage was to actress Maria Loja and his second marriage to actress Veronika Letz.
