plant

Richter's main themes are urban landscapes and architecture from the turn of the 20th century. Another focus is on wood as something that has grown, died and thrown away in the cycle of growth and decay. In his early work, Richter consciously uses the tradition of the New Objectivity of the Leipzig School in the graphically linear rendering of his world of objects , but also incorporates formal elements of surrealism , and later also of photorealism to condense the image message. In his later work his style becomes more spontaneous. His artistic work belongs to the second generation of the Leipzig School.
