Günter Schiepek (* 1958 ) is a German psychologist and professor at the Danube University Krems and the University of Bamberg .

Act

In addition to his teaching activities, Schiepek also heads the Institute for Synergetics and Psychotherapy Research at the Paracelsus Medical Private University in Salzburg, is deputy chairman of the German Society for Complex Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics , author of numerous specialist books and practices in the area of ​​solution-oriented short - term therapy and supervision . He conducts evaluation and process research for systemic therapy and leads research projects on synergetics and chaos theory relating to clinical and socio-psychological issues at the RWTH Aachen University Hospital (1998–2003). Schiepek is a member of the editorial team of the journal Systeme and scientific advisory board of various systemic journals. He is co-owner of the Center for Complex Systems in Stuttgart . He wrote the first scientific report on the recognition of systemic therapy by the Scientific Advisory Board for Psychotherapists (WBP). The systemic therapies are scientifically recognized as psychotherapy procedures by the WBP according to the Psychotherapists Act 2008. The summer school held annually by Schiepek in the Seeon Abbey in Chiemgau is a scientific conference with the topics of current psychotherapy research and research projects from practice.

His work focuses on synergetics and dynamics of non-linear systems in psychology and neuroscience , process-outcome research in psychotherapy , neurobiology , real-time monitoring of various fields of application, social psychology , management and competence research. G. Schiepek publishes scientific developments in numerous lectures.
