Günter Spangenberg (born August 11, 1938 in Schleswig ; † May 10, 2016 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school he trained as a miner and was as a mountain scarce and Hauer busy. After numerous seminars, he was director of the home from 1962 to 1964, and from 1965 to 1967 he was a mining vocational school advisor at IG Bergbau und Energie , of which he was a member since 1955. Since 1968 he was sub-district manager of the SPD in the Borken district .

Spangenberg had been a member of the SPD since 1959. He was represented in various party committees, so he was z. B. from 1976 to 1981 chairman of the SPD city association Bocholt .

From June 27, 1989 to May 30, 1990 and from December 7, 1994 to May 31, 1995 Spangenberg was a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia . He moved up on his party's reserve list.

From 1964 to 1969 he was a member of the city ​​council of Coesfeld , since 1969 he was a member of the council of Bocholt.
