Günther Kranz

Günther Kranz (born February 10, 1958 in Eschen ) is a Liechtenstein politician ( VU ) and was a member of the Liechtenstein Parliament from 2005 to 2013 .

biography

Kranz was born in 1958 as the son of farmer Albert Kranz and his wife Philomena (née Gstöhl) and grew up with six siblings, including Oswald Kranz , who later became a member of the state parliament , in the community of Eschen. From 1971 to 1974 he attended secondary school in Eschen. He then did a commercial apprenticeship at Hovalwerk AG in Vaduz .

From 2005 to 2013 he represented the Fatherland Union in the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein. From 2005 to 2011, he was a member of the Finance Commission, one of the three standing commissions of the state parliament. From 2009 he also held its chairmanship. In the 2011 municipal elections, Kranz was able to win the post of mayor in Eschen. After his election as community leader , he resigned from both chairmanship and membership of the finance commission. Werner Kranz has now been elected to the finance committee in his place . Diana Hilti became the new chairwoman . He did not run for the state elections in February 2013 .

Kranz is married and has three children, two daughters and a son.
