Günther Prutsch

Günther Prutsch (born March 30, 1952 in Lichendorf ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and AMS branch manager. Prutsch was a member of the Federal Council between 2004 and 2005 and from 1990 to 2000 and from 2005 to 2010 a member of the Styrian Landtag .

education and profession

Prutsch attended the elementary school in Lichendorf from 1958 to 1962 and then from 1962 to 1968 the secondary school in Straß and the Bundesrealgymnasium Leibnitz . He then moved to the upper secondary school in Bad Radkersburg , which he graduated with the Matura in 1971 . He then did military service (1971/72) and studied medicine at the University of Graz .

Prutsch did a stay abroad from 1972 to 1976 and joined the Leibnitz employment office in 1977. In the same year he was transferred to Mureck and worked again for the Labor Market Service (AMS) Leibnitz since 2000. Prutsch was the branch manager of the AMS Leibnitz until his retirement.

politics

Prutsch was a councilor in the former municipality of Ratschendorf since 1984 and represented the SPÖ- Styria from 1990 to 2000 in the Styrian state parliament. From March 1, 2004 to October 24, 2005 Prutsch was a member of the Federal Council, after which he moved again to the Styrian state parliament, where he was sworn in as a member on October 25, 2005. In addition, Prutsch is SPÖ district chairman of Radkersburg. Günther Prutsch was no longer a candidate for the 2010 state election.

Private

Prutsch is divorced and has two grown daughters.
