Günther Schwietzke

Johann Günther Schwietzke (born March 19, 1903 in Düsseldorf ; † May 10, 1991 in Kierspe ) was a German metallurgist, entrepreneur and university professor.

Life

After graduating from high school in Düsseldorf in 1922, Günther Schwietzke studied metalworking customers at RWTH Aachen University . At the beginning of his studies he became a member of the Corps Delta. In 1928 he passed the diploma exam and joined his father's company in Düsseldorf, JG Schwietzke, Metallwerke , where he took over the management of the metal foundry. After working in industry, he became a Dr.-Ing. PhD. After the Second World War , he took over the management of his father's company, which he managed until 1970. In 1951 he completed his habilitation in metallurgy at RWTH Aachen University, which appointed him an adjunct professor in 1962. Scientifically, it dealt with the technical and economic basis of the foundry industry, especially NE - heavy metals . He died on his estate and hunting seat at Haus Rhade in Kierspe.
