GOA headquarters in Dublin (2008)

GOA Games Services Ltd. , GOA for short , was a publisher of computer games. The subsidiary of France Télécom, founded in 1997 and dissolved in 2010 (or division of the France-Télécom subsidiary Orange ), specialized in multiplayer games, especially online games. The headquarters were initially in Paris and in 2008 it was relocated to Dublin , the capital of the Republic of Ireland . Before the end of GOA, the company gradually gave up or abandoned the computer games it was responsible for.

Well-known massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) developed by Mythic Entertainment and distributed and supported by GOA in Europe are Dark Age of Camelot (2001-2010) and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (2008-2010) . GOA attached great importance to the translation and localization of the games for the European market (see also regionalization ). From 2009 to 2010 GOA drove the Defense of the Ancients -Alternative League of Legends by Riot Games in Europe.

The online portal goa.com focused on providing free online games. GOA also worked on the development of free MMORPGs, which were to be financed through micropayments for convenience functions without having to pay regular contributions .

Since the end of 2009, GOA has given up or given up one project after another. In December 2009, Warrior Epic , Kart 'n Crazy and Mytheon were abandoned. In February 2010 Dark Age of Camelot was returned to Mythic Entertainment, in May 2010 League of Legends to Riot Games and finally Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning , also to Mythic Entertainment, in June 2010 . In July 2010, the Asian anime golf game Pangya was also handed over to Galaxy Games .
