Gabriel Schaller

Gabriel Schaller (born December 20, 1912 in Herbertshausen , † June 7, 1999 in Dachau ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Schaller attended elementary school in Herbertshausen and Munich . There he did an apprenticeship as a lathe operator and machine fitter and attended the technical college for mechanical engineering. In 1936 he moved to Dachau and practiced his profession until April 1952. After his employment relationship ended, the delegates of the DGB trade unions in the Dachau district elected him full-time district manager of the DGB. The following year he joined the SPD. In 1956 he moved into the district council, the following year he became chairman of his parliamentary group. From 1958 to 1962 he was a member of the district assembly of Upper Bavaria . In 1960 he moved into the Dachau city council. From 1962 to 1970 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . At the end of 1972 he replaced the retired Peter Glotz in parliament, from which he finally retired in 1974.
