Gabriele Bozok

Gabriele Bozok (born November 11, 1953 in Merchweiler ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 1994 to 1999 she was a member of the Saarland state parliament .

education and profession

In 1971 Bozok obtained the advanced technical college entrance qualification and then studied business administration at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences . In 1974 she graduated with a degree in business administration . After a short stint at a Saarland bank, she moved to North Rhine-Westphalia in 1975 and worked there for 3M from 1976 to 1980 . She then devoted herself to raising children until she was employed by Deutsche Telekom in 1984 . As a telecommunications worker, she was a member of the German Postal Union . In 1986 she moved back to Saarland.

politics

Bozok joined the Greens in 1986. From 1989 to 1994 she was a member of the central district council of the state capital Saarbrücken . In October 1994 she was elected to the Saarland Landtag ( eleventh legislative period ). There she was the deputy chairman of her group until she left in 1999.

She has been a member of the Saarbrücken city council since June 1994. In November 2005, her parliamentary group applied for Bozok to be dismissed from two municipal supervisory boards, as she paid only 25 Euros to the Greens of the 280 Euros that she received monthly as an expense allowance - the parliamentary group's rules of procedure, however, stipulated that city councilors would pay 50 Euros should. However, the black-yellow coalition was able to reject the proposal with its majority. Bozok eventually left her faction and was a non-attached member until 2009. In November 2006, party order proceedings were initiated against them.

Gabriele Bozok is married and has two children.
