Gabriele Fürhapter

Gabriele Fürhapter (born October 3, 1965 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP , TEAM until the beginning of 2016 ) and owner of an advertising agency. From 2013 to the end of January 2018 she was a member of the Salzburg state parliament and from 2013 to 2016 she was the club chairman of the Stronach Salzburg team .

education and profession

Fürhapter was born in Salzburg and attended elementary school in Maxglan between 1972 and 1976 . She then graduated from secondary school in Parsch from 1976 to 1980 and then continued her training between 1980 and 1983 at the Federal College (BLA) for economic women's professions in Ried am Wolfgangsee . After completing her schooling, Fürhapter joined the Salzburg Magistrate in 1983, where she worked in the construction department until 1988. She subsequently had a son and was on maternity leave between 1988 and 1991 . She then worked again for the Salzburg Magistrate between 1991 and 1992, where she was employed in the youth welfare department. As a result, she left the Salzburg magistrate and worked in the sales department for Mediaprint in Salzburg from 1992 to 2008 . Fürhapter then went into business for himself in 2009 with the advertising agency Creative Solutions in Wals-Siezenheim .

Politics and functions

Fürhapter became a member of the Stronach team for Salzburg in January 2013 and took on the role of women's spokesperson. In the 2013 state elections, she took fourth place on the Stronach state list as well as in second place in the Salzburg-Umgebung state electoral district and, thanks to the government participation of Team Stronach and the election of Hans Mayr to the state council, she was able to move up to the Salzburg state parliament. Here she was sworn in as a member of the state parliament on June 19, 2013. As a result, Fürhapter took on the role of deputy chairman of the club and became area spokesperson for women / equal treatment, integration of disabled people, art / culture, human rights / foreigners issues, religion / culture, senior citizens and social affairs within the state parliament club. In October 2013, she was also elected deputy party chairwoman.

On January 7, 2016, Gabriele Fürhapter left the Stronach team. She announced that she would work with the ÖVP club in the state parliament in the future. On April 27, 2016, she officially joined the Austrian People's Party and became a full member of the People's Party in the state parliament. At the end of January 2018, she had to vacate her mandate because Hans Mayr moved to the state parliament.
