Gabriele Korb

Gabriele Korb (born June 13, 1962 in Koblenz ) is a German lawyer and has been President of the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) in Koblenz since May 1, 2018 .

Life

Korb has been working in the Bundeswehr administration since 1993 . First, in 1993 she was a consultant in Section ZA IV 4 “Personnel processing in higher technical service ; comparable employee, foreign service ”in the former Federal Office for Defense Technology and Procurement (BWB), which was later renamed BAAINBw. This was followed by other advisory activities in the BWB, in the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) in Bonn and from July 1997 to August 1998 in the Chancellor's Office in the Federal Chancellery under Helmut Kohl . She later became head of department in the BWB and head of the presidential office there and the press office . This was followed by another appointment as a speaker in the BMVg and several team leaders in the BWB. From September 2005 to April 2009, Korb was head of the management staff of the BWB and then until September 2012 service area manager Z1 ("Organization, security, general administrative matters, internal service, travel management") in the BWB and, after its reorganization, group leader Z1 in the BAAINBw with the same Area of ​​responsibility. From January 26, 2015, she was deputy head of office and executive officer of the Bundeswehr Aviation Office .
