Gabriella Gambino

Gabriella Gambino (born April 24, 1968 in Milan , Italy ) is an Italian bioethicist and Roman Catholic curia official .

Life

Gabriella Gambino graduated from the University of Milan in Political Science in 1995 and received her PhD from the Roman Institute of Bioethics at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in 2001 . From 2013 to 2016 she was a member of the Pontifical Council for the Laity and subsequently Associate Professor of Bioethics at the University of Tor Vergata and Full Professor at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family .

On November 7, 2017, Pope Francis appointed her Undersecretary in the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life with the responsibility for Life.

Gabriella Gambino is married and has five children.
