The University of Tor Vergata ( Italian : Università degli studi di Roma Tor Vergata), University of Rome II, is one of the four state universities in Rome , alongside the University of La Sapienza , the University of Rome III and the University of Foro Italico .

Based in the Tor Vergata district of the same name in southeast Rome, the university, founded in 1982, has over 38,500 students and more than 1,800 teachers, lecturers and professors in six faculties:

  • Economics (Via Columbia 2)
  • Engineering (Via del Politecnico 1)
  • Art and Philosophy (Via Columbia 1)
  • Law (Via Bernardino Alimena 5)
  • Medicine and Surgery (Via Montpellier 1)
  • Natural Science (Via della Ricerca Scientifica 1)

Every year 480 places are given to students from the ERASMUS - SOCRATES program.
