The University of Bergamo ( Italian : Università degli Studi di Bergamo ; Latin : Universitatis Bergomensis ) is a state university founded in 1968 in the northern Italian city of Bergamo with over 20,500 students and 583 employees.

It is the only university in the Bergamo province and has continuously expanded faculties and other higher education institutions since its inception. It is considered to be the cross-border center of higher education in the region after Graubünden .
