The University of Calabria ( Italian : Università della Calabria ) is an Italian state university in Calabria with around 33,000 students and 450 academic employees (2005).

It was founded in 1968 and is located in a campus designed by the Italian architect Vittorio Gregotti on the Arcavacata hill near the city of Cosenza .

The original structure in six faculties ( facoltà ):

has been replaced by the division into departments (dipartimenti).
