Gaby Baginsky (actually Gabriele Baginski ; born February 21, 1954 in Salzbergen , Lower Saxony ) is a German pop singer .

Life

Gaby Baginsky studied music after school and took lessons in choreography and speech training . In 1970 she released her first single . She made her breakthrough as a pop singer in 1975 with the title Hang the guitar not on the nail , which was followed by other singles and radio and television appearances. Baginsky was a little quieter in the 1980s until she made a comeback in 1993.

In 1982 she took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest with Just How You Are . She took 9th place out of twelve participants.

In 1994 Gaby Baginsky took part in the German Schlager Festival with the title Verzeih mein Freund and reached 7th place. She had her greatest success at the 1998 Schlager Festival , when she won the first prize - the Golden Muse - with the title Men understand only what they want . Since then she has had numerous appearances, including in the ZDF hit parade , the hit parade on Südwestrundfunk and the ARD's Golden One . In September 2010 she was a candidate for the RTL game show 101 ways out of the toughest show in the world .

Gaby Baginsky lived in Rheine for a long time and is now in Bad Bentheim .
