Gaetano Manno (born July 26, 1982 in Hagen ) is a German - Italian soccer player who has been playing for the fourth division club Wuppertaler SV since 2015 .
Career
Manno began his playing career in the youth department of SSV Hagen . In 2001 he moved to TSG Sprockhövel , where he played for a year and with 25 goals in 28 missions contributed to the team's promotion to the league. After this season he moved to VfL Bochum , where he was used almost only in the reserve team. On September 25, 2004, he made his professional debut as a substitute in the first division team of VfL, but only one more brief assignment followed.
In 2005 he left the club and signed a contract with Wuppertaler SV Borussia , for which he played in the third- tier Regionalliga Nord until 2007 . Then Manno moved to the second division promoted VfL Osnabrück . After two years at VfL, in which he only made 34 appearances due to injuries, he moved to the third division in the summer of 2009 after the Osnabrück team were relegated to the second division SC Paderborn 07 . This was followed by two mixed years with 29 second division games, where he was out for half a year due to a torn cruciate ligament.
In June 2011 he was signed by FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . In the first year with the Thuringians he was able to play through a season to a large extent. He came in the 2011/12 season on 27 games with four goals, where he was mostly used on the right offensive side.
For the 2012/13 season Manno moved to VfL Osnabrück . In July 2013, his contract was terminated. From the 2013/14 season Manno played for Preußen Münster , but left the club during the winter break and moved to FC Viktoria Köln . For the 2015/16 season he rejoined Wuppertaler SV and was promoted to the Regionalliga West at the end of the season .
