Gaetano Michetti

Gaetano Michetti (born March 5, 1922 in Corridonia , Macerata Province , Italy ; † December 13, 2007 there ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Pesaro from 1975 to 1998 .

Life

Gaetano Michetti received in the August 8, 1948 Fermo the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope John XXIII appointed him in 1961 titular bishop of Irenopolis in Cilicia and appointed him as auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Fermo . The episcopal ordination donated to him on August 15, 1961 Norberto Perini , Archbishop of Fermo, and the co-consecrators Bishop Roberto Massimiliani and Archbishop Egidio Bignamini . On July 9, 1973, Pope Paul VI. the appointment as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Pesaro, from 1975 to the bishop of Pesaro.

In 1998 his resignation was granted by Pope John Paul II .
