The Gailtaler Polinik (also Angerkofel ) is 2332  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Carnic Alps in the Austrian state of Carinthia .

It is located south of the market town of Kötschach-Mauthen and northeast of the Plöckenpass . The simplest and shortest ascent leads from the Plöckenhaus over the Spielbodenalm and the Spielbodentörl to the summit of the Polinik. Its detached location offers a very beautiful panoramic view over the upper Gailtal and the Gailtal Alps .

Pohl interprets the name, derived from the Slovenian pol ( half ), as Mittagsberg , cf. Zwölfer (mountain name) .
