Gaius Claudius Canina

Gaius Claudius Canina was a Roman statesman in the first third of the 3rd century BC. Chr.

According to the consular fasts , he was the son of a Marcus and grandson of a Gaius . Its cognomen sets it apart from the other branches of the branched gens Claudia ; but because of the filiation of the same name he could be a brother of the consul of 287 BC. BC, Marcus Claudius Marcellus .

His first consulate, from which no events have been recorded, he reached with Marcus Aemilius Lepidus in the year 285 BC. For the second time he was 273 BC.
