Galib Schafarov
Galib Musajewitsch Schafarow (Russian Галиб Мусаевич Жафаров; born May 9, 1978 in Aqtöbe ) is a Kazakh boxer who was featherweight (up to 57 kg) world champion in 2003 and twice participated in the Olympic Games.
career
Schafarow won the silver medal in 2001 and the gold medal in 2003 .
He took part in two Olympic Games for Kazakhstan. In 2004 in Athens he reached the quarter-finals, in 2008 in Beijing he was eliminated in the first round.
He finished the Asian Games in 2002 in second and in 2006 in third.
