Galleria continua

The Galleria continua in San Gimignano , Province of Siena , Tuscany , Italy is one of the most important Italian galleries for contemporary art.

History and advancement

The gallery was established in 1990 in the medieval city to establish a connection between regional art development and international currents in art through a permanent establishment. The aim is to bring together the rural and industrial roots in and around San Gimignano with contemporary art.

In 2005, the Galleria continua in the Chinese capital Beijing set up an exhibition space in the Dashanzi art district (798 Art District). In 2007, the Le Moulin exhibition room in Boissy-le-Châtel , Département Seine-et-Marne in France, was completed, in which exhibitions with large-format works are exhibited.

In 2015, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary in Centquatre - Paris , the gallery showed works by 48 artists from all over the world, whom it represents under the title Follia Continua .
