The starting point of the hike is the market square in Tholey , which is located in the immediate vicinity of the monastery church. The path initially leads along the road towards Sotzweiler , only on the outskirts does it turn north into the forest. On the western slope of the Schaumberg, the hiker reaches the Blasius Chapel, which was first mentioned in 1246. After reaching the town of Hasborn , the path leads along an originally preserved section of a Roman road and, passing the remains of a Villa Rustica , a temple district and a Celtic burial ground, reaches the Imsbach estate. From here the path leads to the historic Johann-Adams-Mühle, the hiker reaches the valley of the Blies passing a Celtic princely grave . The path now leads back towards Tholey, past the remains of a Roman vicus and a crossroads of two Roman roads, the hiker reaches the market square of Tholey again.
