The Galya-tető is a 964 meter high mountain in the Hungarian Mátra Mountains and after the Kékes and the Pezső-kő the third highest mountain in the country. It is located in Heves county on the northern edge of the small area Gyöngyös on the western border of the municipality of Mátraszentimre and is the namesake of the village Galyatető . The area around Galya-tető is one of the few areas in Hungary with winter sports facilities and is therefore a popular tourist destination. In 1991 the Biathlon Junior World Championships were held there.
