GameBank

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gamebank TV (www.gamebank.tv) was a Chinese eSports - P2PTV channel that was launched on April 3, 2007 and could be received via PPLive . Its program included many broadcasts of eSports events from Asia, especially China and Korea. The station probably went offline again in 2009. In January 2009, the final of the Warcraft 3 Team World Championship ( ESL WC3L Series ) was broadcast.

Gamebank TV was part of China eSports Interactive Technology & Development Co. Ltd. founded in 2006 . (CEI) and, like the Pro Gamer League (PGL), was a main brand of the company. At peak times in 2008, the station had more than 470,000 viewers. The CEI is based in Beijing - Haidian . CEI is listed as a licensee of the German Games School Championship of Turtle Entertainment GmbH .

Cooperation with other eSports companies

Thanks to a cooperation with the PGL, all games in this highly endowed league were recorded and broadcast live in the studio. Gamebank's PGL programs were also broadcast on ESL TV , with a delay of a few months, even in times that were otherwise broadcast-free. Gamebank, for its part, showed ESLTV's program in times when there was no program.

Previously, some events were broadcast together with Gotfrag TV and ESL TV. While GotFrag TV served the American continent, ESL TV was responsible for broadcasting in Europe and Gamebank for the Asian region. The distribution to three regionally strongly positioned eSports broadcasters and the use of P2PTV solutions thus made it possible to broadcast top-class eSports events worldwide .
