The Gamshütte is a refuge in the Zillertal Alps at 1921 m above sea level. A. above Dornauberg , a district of Finkenberg in the Austrian state of Tyrol . It belongs to the Otterfing section of the German Alpine Club .
history
The hut was privately built in 1928 and bought in 1932 by the DOeAV Kurmark section founded in Berlin in 1913 . After this section was dissolved in 1945, the Berlin section took over the hut in 1949 . In 1993 it came to the Otterfing Section, which began extensive modernization. In 1997, a photovoltaic system for generating electricity and a thermal solar system for producing warm water were installed.
