The Gamsspitz is a 2057 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Dead Mountains on the border of Upper Austria and Styria in the valley head of Hinterstoder . The mountain forms a flat summit plateau that slopes down to the Salzsteigjoch with partly rocky and partly rugged flanks . To the west the plateau slopes gently to the Sigistalhöhe. Especially towards the northwest, the Gamsspitz falls into the Sigistal with a very steep and flat wall. There is a stone man at the summit .
