Gary Minihan

Gary Minihan ( Gary John Minihan; born January 24, 1962 ) is a former Australian sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

In 1981 he was at the Athletics World Cup in Rome , he was eighth in the individual competition and with the Oceanic team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

At the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane in 1982 , he won bronze over 400 meters and silver with the Australian 4 x 400 meter relay.

The following year he reached the quarter-finals at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 over 400 m and the semi- finals in the 4 x 100 meter relay . In the 4 x 400 meter relay, he failed in the lead.

At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was eliminated over 400 m in the run and was fourth in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

In 1985 he was third at the Athletics World Cup in Canberra with the oceanic 4-by-400-meter relay, and in 1987 he reached the semi-finals at the World Championships in Rome with the Australian 4-by-400-meter relay.

In 1982 and 1983 (with his personal best of 45.65 s) he was Australian champion.
