Gaspar is a city (port. Município) in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina .
From 1989 to 2017, the city was in the Blumenau microregion , one of four microregions in the Vale do Itajaí mesoregion . Gaspar belongs to the metropolitan region of Vale do Itajaí , one of six metropolitan regions of Santa Catarinas, whose core city is Blumenau .
60,054 inhabitants lived in an area of 386.35 km² (as of 2006, estimate). About 40 km² of the municipal area is settlement area.
