Gaspar de Haro y Guzmán (* 1629 - November 16, 1687 ), 7th Marquis of Carpio and 3rd Marquis of Heliche, was a Spanish nobleman, politician and art collector. His father, Luis Mendez de Haro , was Prime Minister and Advisor to King Philip IV of Spain .

Gaspar de Haro hoped to succeed him, but his political ambitions were curbed and as a result came under suspicion of being involved in an assassination attempt against the king. As a punishment, he was sent to Portugal to fight insurgents.

After his rehabilitation he was sent to Rome as ambassador for five years in 1677. He was then appointed viceroy of the then Spanish possessions of Naples, a position he held until his death. At this point he owned around 3,000 paintings, including works by Titian , Tintoretto , Juan van der Hamen y León and Antonello da Messina .
