The Gasthaus Sonne is an inn in Oberderdingen , a municipality in the district of Karlsruhe ( Baden-Württemberg ), which was built in the last quarter of the 16th century. The half-timbered house is a protected architectural monument .

description

The Gasthaus Sonne is located on the corner of Amtshof and Brettener Strasse. A half-timbered floor and two attic floors stand above the stone-clad ground floor. The right extension was added later. The windows of the half-timbered storey were enlarged, thereby changing the framework.

In the lower attic there are three Franconian men and small ankle bands with well-worn eyes. In the upper attic there are St. Andrew's crosses with jagged teeth and well-worn eyes, and under the ridge there is a carved head with a long beard. The frames , beam heads and sleepers are clad with profiled planks.
