The Gasthaus zum Ochsen in Eschenau , a district of the Obersulm municipality in the Heilbronn district in northern Baden-Württemberg , is a historic inn .

The inn was first mentioned in a document in 1683 and possessed the shield justice . According to the inscription on the console stone in the portal, today's baroque building dates from 1788. In the immediate vicinity there were two other historic inns, the Zum Schwanen and Zur Rose inns.

The ox has a large sandstone - vaulted cellar , a built distillery , a massive ground floor with stone outline and a first floor with plastered half-timbered . In 2000, the building, which, according to the monument protection authority, has been well preserved in its appearance, was placed under monument protection due to its local historical significance and for reasons of science in order to preserve it.

After the last landlady died in 1996, the building stood empty. In 2016, after 20 years of vacancy, plans began to convert the inn into a residential building. Five apartments from 42 to 130 m² are to be built.
