The Gasthof Goldener Löwe is a listed former inn in Hedersleben in Saxony-Anhalt . Only parts of the complex have been preserved.

It is located east of the junction between Schulstrasse and Schützenstrasse at Schützenstrasse 7 . Other details give the address Schützenstraße 17 .

Architecture and history

The inn consisted of a three-wing ensemble of buildings, with the actual inn being in two parts. The older part consisted of a half-timbered building with a massive ground floor made of rubble stones and was largely renovated in the 19th century. The younger part was built in the style of late classicism from bricks with a three-axis symmetrical facade. There was a cuboid in the base area and at the corners. There was a redesigned quarry stone building facing the street. These buildings were probably demolished at the beginning of the 21st century.

What has been preserved (as of 2020) is an elongated residential building that borders the courtyard on the north side. It dates from the 17th century and has a massive basement made of rubble stones and a half-timbered upper floor. The parapet is decorated with St. Andrew's crosses , and there is a narrow bevel on the threshold .

In the local register of monuments , the inn is registered as an architectural monument under registration number 094 45476 .

The building is empty and in need of renovation (as of 2020).
