Gazmend Pallaska

Gazmend Pallaska (born February 24, 1955 in Pristina , Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ) was one of the most famous Albanian-speaking singers of Yugoslavia. Today he works as a lawyer in Pristina.

Life

Gazmend Pallaska appeared as a chanson and pop singer from 1970. Four times (1974, 1976, 1982 and 1983) he took part in the Jugovizija (the Yugoslav preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest ), where he sang the song Dashuria ne lulezim (Blooming Love) in a duet with Milica Milisavljević Dugalić in 1983 . He was the only Albanian-speaking singer who was also known outside the Albanian-speaking areas in Yugoslavia.

In addition to his singing career, he studied law at the University of Prishtina . On his initiative the Udruženje estradnih umjetnika Kosova (Association of Performers of Kosovo) was founded, of which he was chairman. He has been a lawyer since the 1980s. For a while he was deputy radio director at Radio Televizioni i Kosovës . Since 2006 he has been running the legal advisory firm Pallaska & Associates together with Dastid Pallaska . Gazmend Pallaska's main areas of practice include patent law , corporate law , bankruptcy law and administrative law .
