Forster Mariengarten

Forster Mariengarten is the name of a large location in the Rhineland-Palatinate wine-growing region Palatinate . The major location is here in the Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstrasse area ; it has a size of 349.5 ha. Its height is between 117 and 270 m above sea level. NHN , it is 7% steep, 50% sloping and 43% flat. The soil consists of loam, lime, Letten, sandy clay and sandy loam, as well as partly basalt, which comes from the nearby Pechsteinkopf . The name of the vineyard was given by the baroque statue of the Madonna, which stands above Forst in the vineyard.
