Gebhard Friedrich Gottlob von Ingersleben (born April 16, 1741 in Wolmirsleben , † April 1, 1801 in Potsdam ) was a royal Prussian major general and most recently chief of the Grenadier Guard Battalion No. 6 .

His parents were Johann Friedrich August von Ingersleben and his wife Martha Sophie von Brietzke .

He came on February 18, 1756 as a Junker in the Electoral Saxon Infantry Regiment No. 4 (Mannstein) . After the surrender of the Saxon troops at Prina , he became a corporal in the 1st Battalion of the Guard on March 14, 1758 (No. 15) . On December 29, 1762 he became an ensign. During the Seven Years' War he took part in the battles of Liegnitz and Torgau . On November 25, 1763 he was Second Lieutenant and on March 14, 1772 Premier Lieutenant. After the War of the Bavarian Succession he was promoted to staff captain on July 10, 1779, and captain and company commander of the grenadier company on June 14, 1782. On November 14, 1784 he received the duties of major and on December 2, 1786 the rank of major, and on May 27, 1792 that of lieutenant colonel. On January 9, 1793, he became the commander of the 1st Battalion of the Guard. During the first coalition war , he acquired the Pour le Mérite in battle near Trippstadt . On January 13, 1794 he became a colonel. On January 19, 1708 he was appointed chief of the Grenadier Guard Battalion No. 6 . A little later on May 20, 1799 he was promoted to major general. He died on April 1, 1801 in Potsdam.
