Geflügel-Börse - magazine for small animal breeders and nature lovers was published in Leipzig in 1880 as a pure poultry magazine. It was published twice a month by the publishing house Jürgens KG, Germering / Munich and was at the same time the organ of the Federation of German Rassegeflügelzüchter eV (BDRG) . A magazine for small animal breeders and nature lovers appeared since the end of the war as a "West German edition", until it was discontinued in 2015 for the whole of Germany. It was partly illustrated in color. In addition to topics and articles on pedigree poultry , pigeons , birds , dogs , cats , rabbits , fur animals , house, yard and garden , areas such as environmental and nature protection, travel reports and information about the club life of small animal and poultry breeders were also dealt with. At least two to three articles on bird keeping appeared in each issue. The classifieds market for animals was one of the largest in Germany.
