Josef Tscholl

Josef Tscholl (born February 16, 1928 in Dorf Tirol ; † November 15, 2018 in Brixen ) was a South Tyrolean priest and Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Josef Tscholl studied philosophy and Catholic theology and received in the October 10, 1954 Rome , the ordination . He was active in pastoral care in Partschins in Vinschgau and Laives in the South Tyrolean lowlands . From 1958 to 1964 he was a professor at the seminary in Trento and from 1965 to 1993 as a professor of philosophy at the Philosophical-Theological University in Bressanone . In 1993 he was released.

He was involved in regional nature and environmental protection and dealt with the South Tyrolean dialect in literature, media and everyday life . Josef Tscholl died in 2018 in the Brixen Bürgerheim.
