Until 1972, Geich-Obergeich was a municipality in the old district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia . Today Geich-Obergeich is a district of the municipality of Langerwehe in the district of Düren .

Geich-Obergeich consists of the two neighboring places Geich and Obergeich , which are in the east of the municipality of Langerwehe. Today, both places each form a village in the municipality of Langerwehe. The former municipality of Schlich-D'horn had an area of 2.38 km².
history
Since the 19th century was the mayor Echtz (1928 Office Echtz ) in Düren the community Geich at Echtz that after the Second World War in Geich-Oberg calibration has been renamed. On January 1, 1972, Geich-Obergeich was incorporated into Langerwehe by the Aachen Act .
