Frauke Walhorn

Frauke Walhorn (born Frauke Louis ; born September 6, 1942 in Münster ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Frauke Walhorn was born in Westphalia . She attended high school and commercial college . She worked as a physiotherapist and later devoted herself to her family as a housewife and mother of two children. It is committed to social policy in a variety of areas .

In 1987 Frauke Walhorn was elected to the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein in the Steinburg-Ost constituency. She won the direct mandate again in 1988, 1992 and 1996. She was a member of the SPD parliamentary group and belonged to a number of committees, including the Social Committee, which she chaired from 1993 to 2000. In 1997 she was a member of the inquiry committee “Chances and Risks of Genetic Engineering ”. She was a member of the state election committee and the judges' committee . She was a member of the state parliament until the end of the election period in March 2000.

The Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband Schleswig-Holstein appointed Frauke Walhorn as honorary chairwoman. She lives in Oelixdorf .
