Together for Vienna (GfW) is one of the International Union Democrats (until May 20, 2018 Union European-Turkish Democrats ) and the Turkish party AKP related party in Vienna .
history
In 2015 the Simmering doctor Dr. Turgay Taşkiran founded with the aim of running for the municipal council elections in Vienna 2015 . The necessary declarations of support could be collected and the party was on the ballot paper all over Vienna. In this attempt, the party received 7,608 votes, which corresponds to 0.91% of the votes cast. This clearly failed because of the 5% threshold .
For the district council election held at the same time in Vienna 2015 , Together for Vienna could not run in all districts of Vienna due to a lack of declarations of support . In the districts of Innere Stadt , Wieden , Mariahilf and Josefstadt , the party could not be on the ballot. However, one could move into the district representatives of Favoriten , Simmering and Brigittenau with one mandate each.
program
Parts of the party's program include:
- Right to vote at state and district level for EU citizens and third-country nationals
- Turkish as a Matura subject
- Introduction of a minimum wage of € 1500
- Free use of public transport
