The Community of Student Associations (GStV) was an amalgamation of corporation associations in the time of National Socialism .

history

In the course of the conformity , the GStV was founded on January 12, 1935 on the Ordinary Weapons Students' Day of the General German Weapons Ring (ADW) by 13 corporation associations in Berlin. In its founding declaration, the GStV committed itself to “maintaining and strengthening the values of German corporate students” and committed itself to “growing more and more into the National Socialist state through constant internal educational work”. The founding members included the Kösener Senioren-Convents-Verband , the German Landsmannschaft and the Weinheimer Senioren-Convent . They wanted to keep the weapons student. The head of the Reich Chancellery, Hans Heinrich Lammers , became the leader of the GStV . On March 12, 1935, the GStV was recognized by the National Socialist German Workers' Party and the National Socialist German Student Union as the sole representative of the student associations. On March 28, 1935, the (non-striking) Cartel Association of Catholic German Student Associations (CV) and the Cartel Association of Catholic German Student Associations (KV) were incorporated into the GStV. Having got into conflict with Max Blunck about the implementation of the Aryan paragraph , Lammers excluded the KSCV from the GStV on September 5, 1935. Since his goal of a united German student body could not be achieved, Lammers also resigned after Blunck. The GStV was dissolved on September 8, 1935.
