Gennady Kuzmich Bokarew ( Russian: Геннадий Кузьмич Бокарев ; born November 9, 1934 in Bobrovka, Sverdlovsk Oblast, RSFSR ; † February 21, 2012 in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast , Russia ) was a Russian screenwriter , prose writer of the RS, Honored Sverdlovsk, honorary writer of the RS .

Life

Gennady Bokarew was born to an employee on December 9, 1934 in Bobrowka. In 1943 Bokarev moved to Sverdlovsk. At the age of 3 he discovered his interest in reading and at 15 he started to write. In 1955, Bokarev graduated from the AS Popov Technical School in Sverdlovsk . He served in the Soviet Army for the next 3 years . From 1958 Bokarev worked as a factory worker and engineer. In 1961 he enrolled at the Gerasimov Institute for Cinematography , where he completed a distance learning course. From 1968 to 1974 Bokarev worked as editor-in-chief of the television studio. In 1974 he was editor-in-chief of the Sverdlovsk film studio.

Act

In 1964, the first short story by Bokarev We (Russian Мы) was published in the literary magazine. In 1972 Bokarev finished the play Stahlwerker (Russian Сталевары), which was played in several Soviet theaters. In 1974 the play was made into a film. While working at the Sverdlovsk film studio, Bokarev wrote scripts for the following films: The whole world in your eyes, I wish he were with me, The road to the edge of life, convict . Such films were made in collaboration with both well-known and young directors: Before Dawn, Halfway to Paris, Conflict Situation, Finding and Defusing, Painful Grip and others. In the last years of his work, Bokarev films such as Hello, Brother, Lane and A Corrupted Woman were highly rated.

  • Honored Artist of the RSFSR, since 1984.
  • Member of the Russian Film Academy Nika, since 1998.
  • Winner of the Governor's Prize for Excellence in Art and Literature, 2003.
  • Winner of the literature prize named after Mamin-Sibirjak, 2004.
  • Honorary citizen of Sverdlovsk Oblast since 2009.
